Less Programs, More Jesus
By Adam on Oct 18, 2007 in Vision
It seems that Willow Creek has repented of some of it’s program driven practices and is discovering that there is a better way to help people grow spiritually.
Check out this article.
This is a great reminder that we truly need more Jesus and less stuff…

Thank you Adam for the lead into the Willow article and video. Wow, Hybels said they made a mistake. I’m not sure how to take that. Not just a mistake but a 30 yr. mistake. How does that impact your church planting journey? Will you desing your church system to get people to be self feeders? When you gather a crowd will they understand that they must become self feeders? Why not move those “maute” folks back to their “first love.” I’ve been a Xn since age 7 and in church leadership since 1984. What I keep coming back to is this, “There is one great passion and that is God; there is one consistent activitiy and that is evangelism.” The people that love God the most SHOULD leave the church to bring outsiders. Maturity is the ability to invest myself in others to their benefit, i.e. selflessness, whch is described in Phlippians 2.
